MA Department of Public Health QPR Certification Training

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Suicide Prevention Program is sponsoring a train-the trainer certification training by the nationally recognized QPR Instititute (QPR stands for Question, Persuade, Refer).  The one-day training is offered to individuals who apply and meet the selection criteria.  Participants will be selected to assure an equitable geographic distribution statewide and to assure comprehensive training within the EMS Community. 

Registration fee is $15.00 per person which includes continental breakfast and lunch.

Continuing Education Credits have been applied for.

QPR Gatekeeper Instructor Certification Course

This certification prepares instructors to teach a one to two-hour QPR for Suicide Prevention to gatekeepers in their community.  Participants who receive certification will be obliged to train a minimum of 25 gatekeepers within 12 months of course completion.
