Training Requirements for Police Dog (K9) Treatment and Transport for EMS Personnel

• The attached Administrative Requirement (AR) has been updated to address concerns around the training of newly hired EMS personnel.

• This update requires an ambulance service get new hire EMTs (who previously have not had Nero’s Law training elsewhere) to immediately complete the didactic portion of the training but allows the service up to a year to get these EMTs into a practical training portion.
